Introducing our Pilot:

Mitch Miller

Mitch Miller founded High Life Ballooning in 2009.  Originally from Indiana, Mitch has been flying private aircraft since 1995 and has always been fascinated by hot air ballooning.  After receiving his FAA Private Pilot Certificate in 1997, Mitch continued his training and went on to earn his instrument rating, multi-engine aircraft rating, and his commercial pilot certificate. 

Mitch currently holds his FAA issued Commercial “lighter than air” (hot air balloon) rating and has logged more than 800 combined flight hours in private aircraft, turboprops, and hot air balloons.  He is also certified to give instruction in hot air balloon flight for those interested in obtaining a pilot certificate.

Hot air ballooning is a safe and unique way to enjoy breathtaking views and a once in a lifetime experience!  Safety is the number one priority at High Life Ballooning.  All of our equipment is maintained to the most stringent FAA requirements and manufacturer guidelines.  We comply with all FAA regulations and make it our mission to ensure that every flight is a safe and enjoyable experience for all passengers and ground crew.   

Mitch is a member of the Balloon Federation of America and stays up-to-date on all current practices in ballooning to ensure we are providing a safe experience every flight.  We are proud of our safety record and look forward to flying with you!
